About me

I currently work part time for the civil liberties organisation Statewatch and also undertake freelance work.

I have written dozens of articles and reports for Statewatch during my time with the organisation, ranging from reports on court cases and protests to analyses of confidential documents and in-depth, long-form publications (here, here and here).

Many of them have served as the basis for pieces in the mainstream press, including The Guardian, The Telegraph, Private Eye, the BBC, The Irish Times, Al Jazeera, ZDNet and elsewhere.

I have also written opinion pieces for OpenDemocracy and EUobserver and conducted research for numerous projects ranging from the academically-inclined (SECILE) to the journalistic (Migration Control and The Invisible Border) and the activist-academic (on countering violent extremism policies, for TNI).
